Golden pond fish

Fish farming, practiced in Ancient Egypt, as evidenced by the sources dated about 2000 BC, over four thousand years ago. In Mesopotamia, in temples the priests kept the fish in ponds. Fish were kept in ponds in ancient Rome and Greece.

But only in China began to engage in purposeful breeding of different breeds of fish, which we know under the name goldfish.

Goldfish is the usual subspecies of the goldfish ( Carassius auratus ). It is assumed that the subspecies living in China, was separated from the rest of toothcarps formed millions of years ago mountains. This subspecies, which is West of the Himalayas is not found, when it was developed ornamental goldfish.

MARINE AQUARIUM

Sea aquariums has recently become increasingly popular.

In Europe and America marine aquarium, a phenomenon long familiar, and Russia, the level of development of the marine aquarium, a little ahead of Ukraine.

Although, in fairness, it should be noted that the oldest existing public marine aquarium is located in Sevastopol. Now, the presence of a marine aquarium at home or office likewise the statement that “life is good”.

To have a marine aquarium is prestigious and beautiful, and, finally, very, very interesting. Marine aquarium you can simply admire, and can be observed to the limit of detailed, complex and fascinating world of the coral reef.

But there are a number of factors that hinder the development of this area of the aquarium. And it’s not just a financial issue. Although the creation of a marine aquarium is an expensive enterprise, but the main factor, in my opinion, is the lack of information on the merits. Tell friends about your desire to start a marine aquarium and you’ll probably hear something like: “But it’s so hard.”, “Here’s so-and-so did and, as a result, all fish died, corals missing…” etc., This reaction is quite understandable. MARINE AQUARIUM

Anyway, anyone to have at home a saltwater aquarium, is faced with a huge amount of frightening information. Basically, talk about the difficulties. They say that the sea is very expensive, the care of marine aquarium is like art, where you can rely on the experience and intuition that literature about marine aquariums do not find that the amount of reef “banks” starts from 400 litres, which required a huge amount of complex equipment, and so on. Let’s try to understand what is myth and what is reality.

The concept of nano-reef implies a marine reef aquarium in ultra low volume. Usually, under this category fall the aquariums of 50 to 150 liters. It is best to use cubic aquariums. This form of “banks” provides good visibility and a large area of the water surface to maintain active gas exchange with the air.
